My DVR cut it off....what did the ending say about his suicide and the girls and everything?
shareI don't remember all of it exactly, but it basically said that it took Craigslist over a year after Julissa Brisman's death to shut down the "Erotic Services" part of the site. It also said that because of his death before trial, Markoff's victims felt cheated out of justice.

Also there was this romanticized cheesy shot of he and his fiance in a dream sequence speaking of their future marriage and children. they were laying in the grass head to head feet on opposite ends and inspirational music played like a scene from The Titanic or an ending in Cold Case. I know it sounds like I am making it up, but......
Agreed... the ending was cheesy. it was offensive to the real victims. like it was trying to make you feel sympathetic towards poor Phillip killing himself. it's really my only gripe with the movie.

I found myself hating him more and feeling sorry for Megan. She had this perfect life with a perfect man and all of a sudden it was all ruined. He was an evil manipulator who made her fall for him when he was truly a monster.
shareThat's how I took it too, made it all more poignant, the pain he inflicted on everyone around him. I also thought the way he wrote her name in blood when he committed his one serious suicide was meant to incite guilt in her, one last mindf#ck on his part.
