I adore that scene. Probably my favorite scene in any animated movie ever. Ralph thinks he's done for, his life flashes before his eyes, he tries to find some last second wisdom or clarity and his mind latches onto the saying from his support group, and even if it doesn't make perfect sense, he recites the familiar line to give himself comfort and find strength. That's how I see it. Thoughts?
shareYeah it was a very powerful scene indeed. Though this scene didn't really hit me as hard as when the first plot twist happened, when they revealed that the little girl was a glitch and how she would ruin the candy land game for everyone if she even thought about racing. Ralph even had to break the car he and the little girl created, which was the sign of their friendship.
But yeah the falling scene was pretty sad and powerful.
Ralph's fall was mg favorite scene I the film. When I saw it for the first time I was torn, fighting back the tears because that's the precise moment when he realizes finally accepts himself and learns to be comfortable in his own skin and his role As the villain. Very powerful scene.
shareI replay that scene regularly because that's Ralph's moment of clarity where he realises that just because you are a bad guy doesn't mean you're a bad guy.
shareSaw this in a theater with a buddy and he ruined this scene for me. When Ralph went in for his death-dive my buddy in a perfect imitation of Vin Diesel said, "Superman..."

This is by far my favorite scene in the movie. Ralph's moment clarity was the climax as far as I'm concerned.

Terrific scene, and one that makes me weep.
It also reminds me of a similar scene in "The Iron Giant", where the robot chooses to sacrifice himself to save everybody else.
