can current gen console handle Hero's Duty?

Yes, we have video games like The Witcher 3, The Last of Us Remastered, and The Division but can the PS4 or Xbox One or High-end PC handle something like Hero's Duty? I'm not talking about highly detail textures, smoke particle, or Sgt. Calhoun's hair animation (which Tomb Raider can achieve beautifully on PC and current gen console), i'm talking about the bugs, thousands of them flying individually or in crowds (not pre-rendered). I never see any video games try to do that.

Ubisoft said that AC: Unity can handle 30,000 people but will it interactive enough? will it drop the framerate? Can it work as smooth as gameplay on Hero's Duty?

Dead rising 3 has a huge *beep* zombie count on screen at once.

There may be thousands of bugs on-screen, but you aren't interacting with all of them. Hero's Duty could be compared to games like "Crisis Zone": an on-rails shooter where you go from area to area, cleaning them out of a fixed number of baddies as you go.

In other words, a game like this is definitely possible on current-gen consoles!

precisely. The swarms in the background would simply be thousands and thousands of particles that emulate bugs from a distance, performance wise not staggering more difficult to handle than a fireball or other magical effect seen commonly on even older machines

You call that a cameltoe? Put your cheeks into it!

Its been a while since your post, but I just saw the movie. I think PS4 can handle it.
