Made me cry

The performances, particularly Pacino, Garner and Bobby C.'s. The placement of the Lennon songs in key emotional sequences. The last scene where two actors known for gritty roles go for pure emotions and let it all out. Pacino and Bobby C. should get Oscar nominations. But alas they won't. The movie came out last spring, Oscar has a short term memory (unless a studio pushes the film, as was the case with Grand Budapest Hotel last year). Americans avoided this movie of course.....a sad cultural state of affairs in this country. This is one of the best films of 2015.

It works so well that it's almost shocking. Nothing inherent in the premise or trailer suggested it would have the kind of emotional weight it gets in that scene. It's extremely well executed.

Hopefully Pacino's Golden Globe nomination encourages people to check it out.

7/10 for me.

I didn't expect much going into this movie the story and cast made me watch it. It's been a while since I cried watching a movie but the scenes and connection between Pacino and Cannavale are pure heart warming gold

I don't know why so many are dissing this movie. I loved it. A beautiful story or reconciliation and redemption. I especially loved the ending.. . . ..."Tom"

That last scene was beautiful. That song was beautiful as well.

I came here on this site saying to myself, I know I cant be the only one that loved this movie. The actors were all superb and yes, I cried. But throughout the movie, I was riveted by every performance, and every scene. Pacino has always been one of my favorites, and I was not expecting much from this movie....but I sure was wrong. Loved it.

I saw this film last night on DVD and loved it. The John Lennon songs were beautiful, especially my favourite "Imagine".
