Watching episode1.13, and they were showing area codes. They said Long Island's was 914 & that's wrong, it was all 516 until they split off Suffolk County to 631. 914 is Westchester!
shareI noticed that, too. Nassau and Suffolk were transferred from 914 to 516 in 1951, so it isn't as if they simply missed it. Were they using really, really, old information? If so, why would they have said Long Island, since pre-1951 it was all of downstate New York except for NYC? So strange.
