Like the show, but Brian UNger comes out with some strange comments. The one which really concerned me was in the first episode when he thought he would be poisoned by the spring water? Where does he think water comes from?

I'm from the UK by the way and I think it would be intersting to do our counties in a show like this, though I expect the information has long since vanished.

I believe it was an open/running spring, and he just wanted to make sure (in a 'for television' way) that it was clean enough. being a spring, it might be cleaner that tap water, but never hurts to be sure.

Is it the word poison that is troubling you? It may have just been a poor word choice. He wanted to make sure the water was safe to drink. Plenty of natural sources of water have bacteria or other organisms that can make you very sick. That's why springs, like the one he was visiting, are so valuable.
