The ending runied the movie (spoiler)

The movie was actually pretty great. And then... that random dude stabs her. Credits.
What was the freaking point? Oh, yeah, they have to talk about that dumb curse, or whatever. Well, it sucked, and it was completely pointless. Terrible terrible ending, for a good movie.

I hated the movie. The only part that I actually did like was the surprise ending when she is stabbed by her friend. I didn't see that coming. Usually, horror movies are predictable when it comes to the plot so it was nice to finally have an ending that was unexpected.

I agree. I actually liked the ending and didn't see it coming. I honestly thought the boyfriend would be the one, but would be thwarted in favor of the typical Hollywood ending where everyone lives. This was much better.

Agreed. If it wasn't for that horrible ending it wouldn't have been so bad.

I have to agree i did not really like the ending, but the ending was just a point she was trying to make when you hear her speaking over her own funeral....

There was no curse it was just a point shes making that it was just peoples actions that were the cause of the deaths in downers grove......

The cause of her death was the jealousy of her friend if he could not have her, then nobody would.. so he killed her and that was the reason for her death.... they showed you flash backs that it was her friend that was stalking her and watching her throughout the movie....

He could not handle her and her relationships with these other guys, and you see him tearing his own hair out and pretending to have been attacked lol by that guy.

People die that is life, there is and was no curse.

The ending was horrible. Even worse was him than sitting quietly at her funeral. The cops didn't arrest him? Up to then the movie was decent. Kevin Zegers (the rapist) is really good. That actor reminds me of Ian Sommer... something.
