Wtf was with the audio?!

I don't even know if the movie is dubbed but I watched it in Chinese (just going to say that because I didn't know if it was Cantonese or Mandarin) but it seemed at times that the Chinese actors had Chinese dubs..! Even that American guy talking in english seemed as if he had been dubbed with english too.

It just seemed off to me, dunno if anyone else had that problem. I did enjoy the movie and thought Chan was pretty good. I would have enjoyed the movie more if I could've gotten past the audio issue.

Movies made in China are often dubbed for various reasons.
One reason is that the actors can't speak with the proper dialect.
It's possible seeing that the movie was made in China that the Americans and Europeans were played by people that have lived all of their lives in China and therefor have to be dubbed to give the delusion of being foreigners.
That seemed to be the case especially with the non-Chinese children.

crappy microphones / failing in capturing the voices properly is often a reason for dubbing, sometimes it isnt so much dubbing as it is just resaying lines.
