I missed part of this episode. Did they find out who stole the money? If so, what happened to them?

Sadly no. The police took statements and the detective suppose to investigate as you know but the end of the episode and the blog didn't say if they found out who stole the money. I wonder why they only stole a grand and not the whole $3,000? It makes me think it was someone really close to them.
