Whoa, Irvine and Summer got old!

I haven't watched the show consistently since maybe 2012ish, but I check in from time to time. I just saw some of S12E1, the beginning of the "ambush" episodes I guess they're called, and aside from the obvious format change, Irvine and Summer seem to have really shot up there in age. Irvine's hair is almost like a winter wonderland and even he looks like he's gained a bit of weight around the face, and Summer looks like a right grandfather from the last time I saw him (probably an old episode of How They Make It or whatever he hosted). I'm not saying this as an insult, but it's quite a shock after some years.

Cena doesn't overcome any odds. He's a wrestler with a God Mode cheat on.

Yes, Irvine does appear much older in Season 12. Irvine also looks to have buffed out a little more too.

Here in town, a couple of years ago, the show was doing a restaurant we pass on a regular basis. My daughter recognized Irvine so we stopped to check it out. The crew was very friendly and showed us around a little bit. We asked if we could meet Irvine but were told he was with his personal trainer. So, if Irvine is not breaking walls and chewing out owners he's working out with his personal trainer getting buffed.

His wife is a personal trainer. Maybe he gets buffed in bed in his personal trailer. Maybe that is why he looks so old lately.

I watched the video on the CHOCOLATE: IMPOSSIBLE episode where a PO'd Summers climbed out of the production vehicle and gave the owner and his daughter a piece of his mind saying to them, we're not here to create drama for you. Apparently, the owner was badmouthing the show, Irvine, and even the production staff and Summers did not stand for that.

Irvine looks his age, he was never gorgeous. I guess he's not into botox. Lol

Mark summers had a car accident a little while ago, He also had to get some reconstructive surgery as well. Here's an article around the time of the accident:

Summers, 60, was riding in a cab in Philadelphia after returning from shooting an episode of Restaurant Impossible, during a "torrential downpour" when "the cab lost control, hydroplaned," he tells PEOPLE.

The crash caused the Unwrapped host to hit the partition between the front and back seats of the cab. "Everything on the left side [of my face] from my eye socket down was just wiped out," he tells PEOPLE. "My eye socket got all swollen. I'm having trouble seeing completely out of the left eye ... There's lots of titanium and screws in my face."

"I was pretty lucky that I didn't have brain damage," Summers adds.
He's also battled cancer for five ears. That can take it's toll.
