was great. I think they've come a long way from the pilot and 2nd episodes. There was humor, a little drama, and a little bit of Rear Window in it.
I feel for the Captain. This isn't going to end well, but it will be interesting (or sad) to see what it does to his outlook on everything.

The Captain subplot was sad. I guess therapy isn't working in that relationship.
OTOH, I am really enjoying the Wes & Travis stuff. This episode was a good mix of humor (I lol'd at the "Chicken" exchange), and the blow up in therapy, "No wonder why Alex left you, no one knows what you are thinking" was just so real.
It helps that Michael Ealy & Warren Kole really work well together.
What I loved was the way Wes showed up-he didn't agree with what Travis was doing but he had his back. And yeah, I'm starting to grieve for the captain-I really like him and I want things to go well with him. And just what does it do to the premise of the show if things don't work out for the captain and the missis? He put Wes and Travis in therapy because it did wonders for his relationship-if he breaks up with his wife, is that a bad omen for them?

I'm hoping the captain's wife's excuse was legitimate as to why she couldn't make the date and that it wasn't just some story she made up to be elsewhere/do something else. I felt bad for him too. I also hope this isn't a case similar to Wes and Alex's where one side wants to work things out while the other just wants to cut their losses and move on.

I hope so too, but I'm skeptical. If he was waiting at the restaurant for as long as implied, that was a jerk move if she could have told him earlier. Also, I think about 3 or 4 eps ago, the Cap was going through his wife's phone? Or something like that? Their marriage is probably still on the edge of the cliff. Poor guy.

I'd forgotten about that scene (where he went through her phone.) I'd be good if they cast her so we could put a face to the character. Hope she doesn't end up like Maris, from Frazier.

It was Tighe. He's made a career of playing some really bad guys lately, so it will be interesting to see him going back to being a "good guy" if I interpreted the promo properly. After playing Roy the way he did, I didn't think it would be possible for him to convincingly play bad guys, but he is very capable.

I had a hard time seeing Kevin play creepy bad guys after he was so wonderful as Roy in Emergency. But yeah he is a great actor...
Oh, Randoloph Mantooth, be still my heart! It would be so cool if he and Tighe emerged as the old partners, but that would be too much to hope for. I don't think they ever worked together again after the Emergency years, although they have stayed friends and done some benefits and fan things together.
