I'd never heard of this show until I noticed the first episode on Showcase tonight (playing up here in Canada).
Did this play on USA Network already?
I must say - I'm VERY impressed by the first scene. The couples counselling introduction leads me to believe that the writers are among the very best Hollywood has to offer - and the production values lead me to believe this show has a healthy budget. (But I've just seen the first 5 minutes of the show.)
Yep...we had the season finale about 2 weeks ago.
You will love it...it's a funny quirky show and the lead actors are great...cute too...
I was hooked in the first 3 minutes.
Given the appearance of the two leads, I was wondering if this was a "remake" of Miami Vice. I guess not - but the leads remind me of them.
And it is funny to play with the idea of two guys going to couples therapy being gay. At first I thought, wow, this is a progressive show to have two gays in couples therapy and the other couples in the group not bat an eye at their homosexuality.
And then there are so many opportunities to keep playing with that misunderstanding and keep joking that we're not THAT kind of partner.
The show is basically a send up of a bunch of buddy cop movies. It draws from tons of resources.

The pilot is by far the best installment of the show, and as you'll see, the budgetary resources diminish CONSIDERABLY in subsequent episodes.
shareYep had the season finale weeks ago! It took me a while to get into it (the ep. that got me to "stay" was "Role Play")....but it reminds me a lot of the 80s buddy cop movies I love ...Lethal Weapon, 48 Hrs. etc.

i was in the US in june, and it was just about to start...so, i was hoping that either showcase or bravo would show it...
now if they'd just give us new eppies of all the other stuff....instead of playing endless eppies of NCIS...
i mean we only got to season three of burn notice, where i think they're up to season 6, we're getting a rerun of covert affairs, i'd like to know why we're not getting the new season
we're getting reruns of haven...when do we get the new stuff...
or better yet, why won't the US release TNT, SHOWTIME, USA, and other stations like that, so that we can actually get it here when it's on first run....instead of us having it whenever the networks feel like it....or whenever they're allowed to show it..

LOL..the same can be said of Canada hogging Heartland and not letting us get that until you guys had gotten to Season 5.....
