Just watched it at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival

I just watched the world premiere for Djinn at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. I have to say that it was not bad, putting in mind that almost all the actors were Emirati, GCC and Arab nationals so you would think it would be mediocre but the movie succeeded in scaring off the local audience here. It is very rare to see an American-directed horror film about Arab/Muslim spirits/Djinns.

Nor sure what difference it makes if the actors were Arabs or other nationalities. What is important is how good the story is and if it was directed well. I'm just happy they didnt 'white wash' the cast so they could sell the film to an international audience.
