in the very final scene, Stephen's mother in law arrives at visitation alone. Stephen asks where his brother and father were to which she reponds they're not well. is this implying that she is in fact poisoning them?

Why is his evil wife (Smith, as a 'poisoner'?) not mentioned again in the 4th drama?
Especially as she tells Steven (in jail) at the end of the third drama that his dad and brother are both ''ill''?
I think possibly because it was all in his mind. His dad seemed fine in the following episode apart from the fact he'd just been told that his son killed himself. I think the end of Stephens episode ended like that for you to believe what you want.

I have a problem with the judges decision. I doubt if a person considered to be mentally ill has the right to refuse assessment thus resulting in a prison sentence.
