Filmed in real time?

I'm pretty sure it was but was this filmed in real time? That is the movie was 1 and 1/2 hours long and covered events that took an 1 and 1/2 to take place. Like High Noon or Nick of Time.

There were shots of nothing eg a door or wall. Couldn't they cut and start from there?

the story takes place in real time and made to look like it was filmed that way but they had cuts, they just had smooth transitions, you can catch them for certain scenes
