Not terrible but I don't feel like I got anything out of it.

The gimmick with all the hidden cameras worked very well, and there were some fairly creepy moments, but overall I thought it had a pretty disappointing ending which wasted all the time I spent watching it. The story was kind of intriguing but then it ended in the nihilistic fashion all new horror thrillers end. There wasn't anything unpredictable, the killer just did what he does and kills the woman and the guy gets shot by a cop because he's so distracted by claiming his innocence that he doesn't realize he's POINTING A GUN AT A POLICE OFFICER. The twist was that there was no twist--this killer didn't have a grand scheme, he was just a sadist who picked out random families and ruined their lives. Then it presumably repeats. Some might disagree, but I feel like good stories build tension toward a climax, but this climax was completely unimaginative and squandered all the intrigue that came before it. It was competently done, but utterly unremarkable. I don't imagine I will ever be in a conversation in which I reference or recommend this movie. My life would have been the same if I'd never seen it.

Nice to see someone else who shares my same point of view. Tired of the same old same old existentialist nihilist tripe that's become the cat's meow in the last ten years or so... cheers, Chris!

Right. Well, I have to-- I have to go now, Duane, because I, I'm due back on the planet Earth.

That's pretty much how i felt too. i wish there was more suspense and more motive for the voyeur. Like what the hell is the point of this, and why doesn't the person doing it have a life / a job.
