Wait... who made out with Pete?

Just watched the flick on Netflix streaming and I'm still trying to figure out who the hell liqoured up Pete and made out with him? Was it the actor or producer involved at Zebra Films? It was edited, but with this much of a cult following, I would imagine someone here knows enough of the story first-hand and might be able to answer this question.
