What happened?? At the end of the movie it said her whereabouts are still unknown but someone here said they found her and she's doing well.

So which is it??

I was wondering the same thing but what I'm thinking is since this movie is more recent Ashley probably went missing again and they have yet to find her. And let me tell you. When I read her whereabouts where still unknown I cried like a big baby. I pray to God they find her and she stays there.

Thanks for posting that.

Now that I have read that People article, I am very surprised on the creative liberties the movie took. Her bipolar wasn't diagnosed before her first long span of being missing? That is pretty surprising since in the movie, that condition seemed to be a huge part of what compelled her sister to have reason to look for her.

I watched the movie last night, and thought some of the differences were strange. Like Ashley was really missing in Tampa, FL but in the movie they are searching in Portland, OR. I thought Libba's commitment to going back and forth between Sacramento and Portland was taxing, but would have been even more overwhelmed knowing she was going back and forth between Sacramento and Tampa. I don't really see the point in changing the search grounds.

The People article is 3 years old, and she's since gone missing again, I found this brief article from 2010 that mentions that. It's sad that this continues to happen to her.

WHY the hell did she dump her purse on the driveway on PURPOSELY go missing like that?? It's like she WANTS to be missing!

There's obviously something wrong with her!

I dont know if she had gone off her meds or was back on drugs, but to me it reeally looked like she was out of it, so she was not really thinking what she was doing.

They usually film these movies in Vanvcouver because it is cheaper which is probably why they changed the location.

What does it matter where they filmed it??

Well, I've never been to Vancouver, but I'm willing to bet it looks nothing like Tampa. If they filmed it in Vancouver, it probably looked more realistically like a place like Oregon than Tampa.
