FIFTH SEASON?

Does anyone know if Kickin' It will be renewed for a fifth season?

Nope. They ended production on the show after season 4.

It wasn't canceled. They just decided it was time to wrap things up. And as for Jessie, there will be a spin-off.

The Final episode date was on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, where the series finale episode "The Grandmaster" released in the USA.The curtains closed following the release and the cast said goodbye to Kickin' It after almost a four year run from it's First episode date on June 13, 2011 until it's ending season finale on March 25, 2015.

I had an interview with Leo Howard who formerly starred as Jack Brewer almost a month after the show ended on Friday, April 17, 2015 asking the reasons for his and the rest of the casts departure, possibilities of sequels and his plans for the future.

Q: Hey Leo, 'Sup? How are you doing today?

Leo Howard: I'm doing pretty great (grins) Thanks, man.

Q: Are you sure? Kickin' It just ended almost a month ago. Aren't you affected by it?

LH: Ok, Im not THAT great. I'm still quite sad the show ended and had to go into the history books

Q: Why did you leave Kickin' It? Why did the rest of the cast leave too and say goodbye to the show? Did you guys hate it?

LH: No, of course not! We loved it! Kickin' It was so awesome! I essentially left because I was curious and interested in trying out and starring in other TV shows and films. I basically wanted to explore other opportunities and try something new. Same thing with the rest of the cast. They just want to move on in life too instead of portraying the same character over and over again. It does get boring, eventually.

Q: Did you ever get burnt out or bored of playing the same character in the same show over and over again.?

LH: Nope. I had a lot of fun playing Jack. He's an awesome, intelligent and an honest kid. He is always selfless when it comes to teamwork and displays lots of charisma defeating his opponents in fights.

Q: Do you have any similarities to Jack?

LH: Probably the friendship, loyalty, selfless and heroic acts and my charming martial arts performances. I am also a martial artist in real life.

Q: What was your initial reaction or feeling to leaving and saying goodbye to the show?

LH: At first it was initially terrifying and really heartbreaking. After realizing that the curtains were closing, I was like "What the heck is going" and "What the heck are you guys doing?". But then I realized that the time's come. Like other Disney project it has four seasons because it's a standard rule. It was really hard to let go of it but despite ceasing broadcasting, I still agreed to remain as friends with the rest of the cast. I still hang out with them in real life from time to time.

Q: Are there any other reasons for leaving the show? Did you think that there would be a Season 5? Did you express interest in it?

LH: I did initially have hopes for a Season 5 for Kickin' It. I expressed interest in reprising my role as Jack and returning once again. But I realized that I had aged so much and hit my growth spurt that I wasn't completely like I was before. It was quite obvious in the episodes. Eventually, I decided that because of puberty, it was ridiculously silly to play Jack as an adult. I had become taller and muscular and with a different hairstyle in the episodes so I had no choice to go ahead and close the curtains on the show. And that's basically the other reason why. The cast outgrows Disney projects which is why we have a typical four year run. In the beginning, we were between 12 and 15 and by the time the show ended we had grown so much over four years that we are like early adults aged 17-20. So basically, The main problem is the cast just keeps growing up is getting older. You can't stop it. There's no way to temporarily stop us from changing and growing up. You know, that's the problem because the characters are supposed to be timeless and look the same over these years.I think my growth spurt is the most obvious. In Kickin' It 2015, I look way grown up than I was back in 2011.

Q: Which cast members appeared the same in the series?

LH: Alex Jones looked the same from 2010 until 2012. Jason, who stars as Rudy, also looked pretty much the same over four years because well, he's an adult and his growth spurt is finished.

Q: Has your life changed since Kickin' It?

LH: Yes, of course! Kickin' It changed my life tremendously! I've received so much acclaim and praise for my charisma filled character role. Had I not been Jack, I wouldn't be so critically acclaimed and basically, i wouldn't be here today!

Q: Will there be a Kickin' It movie based on the tv series of the same name like Penguins of Madagascar? It would be so awesome to see you guys reunited again!

LH: I doubt it since the show is over. At present, we have no plans or intentions of producing a film based on the TV series but you never know! Only time will tell!

Q: Now that you guys are on one of the most amazing shows in history, currently, Will we see more of you guys together in the future on some other Teen sitcom shows? Or are you guys done working together, for like, ever?

LH: Another very ambitious question. You'll just have to wait and see! But I sure hope so that we will reunite! It depends on what shows we select.

Q: What about your and the rest of the gang's awesome karate moves? Will we see more of those in the future films and episodes?

LH: That all depends on our roles we select in our future films and TV shows. If we have fighting and action scenes that require us to use martial arts, then yes, you will still see more punches and kicks!

Q: Has it been difficult leaving the show and going your own separate way from the cast?

LH: Yes, indeed it has been very heartbreaking. But it's a rule that Disney XD shows have to follow. Shows come and go from time to time and we can't run the show forever as playing Jack as an adult would be silly!

Q: What are your plans for the future?

LH: I'm going to make a special guest appearence as Troy West in two episodes of Lab Rats (2015), star in AndrĂ²n - The Black Labyrinth and star in You're Gonna Miss Me and my character is Mav Montana

Q: How do you see Jack now, as of day 1?

LH: Jack's character has truly evolved over these years! I don't know how else to describe it! Jack's been awesome so far and he's progressed so much from the first season until the fourth and final season. He's gotten more funnier filled with more charisma, he's gotten more active in martial arts and stuff and he's gotten into lots of fights with villains so it's great seeing the progression so far.

Q: Of all the moments you had on Kickin It, on all these four seasons, what was your favorite moment as Jack?

LH: Uh, favorite moment, it's really hard to pinpoint one exactly since I had lots of favorite moments> But my favorite episode was Spyfall where we are spies in the episode and climbing the buildings, it was pretty awesome too! We didn't really climb a building in real life (it was all faked on a studio set) but with movie magic and special effects you can make it work!

Q: How has it been working with the crew and hanging out with the cast of Kickin It?

LH: Awesome and amazing! Truly! My time here at Kickin' It has been the best and most wonderful experience of a lifetime and really a dream come true! I could never thank the crew for selecting me and meeting such wonderful people for almost four years and bringing Jack to life! I think that the unique and special personalities of every single character in this film, even the villains, because it all represents a part of us.

Q: Any thoughts on the show's story itself? Has it gotten better or worse? What are your final thoughts on the show now that it has officially ended?

LH: While I am quite sad to see the show cease broadcasting and saying goodbye to Kickin It, I am very grateful at how much the show has evolved over these four years, and if it hadn't started in 2011, it wouldn't make Disney XD the powerhouse it is today!
