I don't know, i haven't heard anything, i doubt it. I was a bit confused by that in the video too.

As far as I know, the show is staying on The Hub. But some places (like different countries/regions) have programs air on other channels. Maybe wherever this was, it airs on HBO Family. Still seems odd though.

I sometimes don't read the bottom of posts because I think it's a signature.

You guys do realize they are probably only making a sequel so they can give it a happier ending due to all the complaints.

That is what I figured. Plenty of other stories had similar bad endings but this wasn't a case where a kid was punished for being truly reckless and irresponsible and facing consequences. It was someone in a bad situation simply turning to a source he thought was trustworthy and getting burned when it turned out to be evil. It makes sense that in this case, more so than the others, that the bad ending would not be as well received.
