For those who experience hynogogic hallucinations...
I sometimes experience hynogogic hallucinations, so seeing this film was of great interest for me. However, I feel they didn't even scratch the surface of what it's like to see these apparitions. This film is built around jump scares and sudden movements, while my experience has been about seeing these shapes standing still, or moving to but a minor extent. My perspective is that their approach was entirely off, as this film could have succeeded greatly, had it been a horror film built around atmosphere and not jump scares.
What are your guys' perspectives?
