Totally FAKE and plot errors!

The movie is TOTALLY FAKE and have lots of continium and plot errors. For example, 37:33 into the movie, a wikipedia.org article about Shadow People (that has been altered to look a LOT creepier than what is in reality) has a number of references to articles "retrieved in 2010-03-01" or "13 April 2010". That's kool, but the movie takes place in the year 2008, so that article was made in the future, hahaha!

That's was an obvious mistake from the director but is ok. It was a low budget movie. It happens.

The film narrative was set in 2008 but the film was made in 2013 so the inserted material makes sense and you didn't really think it was a real documentary did you?

If you did I'd stay well clear of the related 'found footage' genre if I were you.

the movie's story takes place in 2008.... the "real" footage was supposed to be from different time periods.

It was a boob on the part of the documentary director then, because even though the movie is set in 2008, the filmed scenes made in 2010 should have everything state 2008 in them.

We see this sort of thing all the time though in real life reconstructions, so it's bound to happen in a fake reconstruction too.
