On the fence... Spoilers may be here...
I thought the acting was wonderful in this film, but I am really confused about the overall plot.
Was this meant to be a sort of disjointed story? It seemed like the time line flitted around a lot and though I suspected fairly early in the plot twist, I felt that it really didn't add much to the story line. I don't want to spoil it, but if you have seen it, you know what I mean.
Perhaps this is closely tied to myths specific to the UK? Maybe someone can explain. What were they afraid of at the beginning of the film? I thought they were afraid of the fae, but then it seemed that was unrelated to anything else in the film. Why did the child die? Was he so scared that his heart stopped? What did the children see out on the hill before he dies? Why was the hunting blind (or whatever that cement structure is) so important?
I guess a lot of this doesn't need to be explained if you look at the film as simply pulling at your emotions because of incredible acting, but I am left the next day still wondering.
Bam said the lady.
