Anyone else tired of getting raked by overpriced DLC?

So, Capcom announced 'Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3' recently, which apparently is a disc based add-on to the original title with something like, twelve new characters to add to the roster. Sounds great...except it's an additional $40 for this content. They also did this recently with the Super Street fighter 4 Arcade edition, but hey, Capcom is notorious for putting out 10,000 SF sequels and adding words like "hyper", "turbo", "maximum", ad nauseum. What I don't understand, is with the capacity of Blu-ray on PS3 and even DVD on 360, why all this content can't be released on disc right from the jump. (money, money, money, right?) Why do we, as fans and consumers put up with this BS? After all is said and done, with the full game, DLC, and whatever future add-ons are released, we're basically paying hundreds of dollars for a single game. (anyone remember the price of the old Neo Geo carts? Yeah.)

It's all about money. Instead of capcom making an entire new game which would cost time/money they would rather alter a game that was already made. Add a new feature, new characters, new maps, and release it for a fraction of it's original pricing.

So now a bunch of kids who have MVC3 will want the new 12 b/s character roster and their parents will get it for them. The UMVC3 will have new achievements and more endings which will give some kids and fans reason to want it. Capcom is an epic fail. These are the following misfits they added to the roster:

Capcom:
Firebrand
Strider Hiryu
Phoenix Wright
Vergil
Nemesis
Frank West

Marvel:
Hawkeye
Ghost Rider
Dr Strange
Iron Fist
Rocket Raccoon
Nova

Yet Megaman X and Venom were the most anticipated by fans and Capcom gave us all a big F.U.

Here would be my better character roster and If it were true I would buy the disc game.

Pretty sad. Now, Strider has always been one of my favorite Capcom characters, but that's not enough to sell me. Sadly, it is enough for many people I know. They're going to plunk down the cash for what should have been initially included the first time around. But, as you said, it's all about the money. And corporations realize how apathetic and numb society is these days. We'll buy anything.
