Getting your ass handed to you by a CPU 3.

I started playing this game afew days ago, was very excited because (for about a year) I have wanted this game and was meaning to get it. After seeing the gameplay on youtube for the first time, about a year ago, I was blown away, and knew this was a game I wanted to own.

But what I never suspected was that it would be so complicated and take such effort to master. I'm not used to these kind of controls, not even in the fighting games I've played. I tried the missions for each character, since I atleast stand a chance when playing as Dr Doom (I atleast get afew hits inbetween flying around), I tried his training missions and I can't get past the part where you performa cancel. What the heck is a cancel ? You crouch, and use light attack, medium attack, then stand and use heavy attack (I can do that) but then you have to unleash the plasma cannon, in a combo ! How in the blue fudge am I supposed to do that ?

You have to swing the analogue stick/D-pad and hit the X button (on my Xbox) but it doesn't work at first, you ahve to fiddle with it for a period of time and ONLY THEN does it unleash the move you want. If I were a little younger and less mature, I'd be really really annoyed and say this game sucks, but I know this game doesn't suck I'm actually enjoying it so much despite not mastering the fighting controls and all.

So right, anyone know what I'm talking about here ? Can you tell me HOW to unleash this specific move in the middle/end of a combo ? Because if you hit X the character just punches, but if you keep mashing X and swining the left stick he will keep punching and moving and EVENTUALLY he'll do the move. Ughhh !! That's my problem at the moment.

Took me ages to figure out the blocking defense, it wasn't listed in the controls, but the technique is listed somewhere deep within the manual. But ofcourse, that's not the problem at the moment.
