Half the characters than the last one. That is bullsh^t. That is all.

After actually playing the game I've come to the conclusion that its a great game. Forget that there is a lack of characters. Its still a great fun game to play. Now my favorite fighting game.

The reason MVC2 had such as big roster is because over 40 of the characters were just copied/pasted from previous games. Only 9 of those characters were actually new. And among those characters were 5+ shotos, two Ironmen, two Guiles, two Megamen, and two Wolvernes.(two actual versions of the same character her).
MVC2 just took most of the characters from previous games and threw them in with no work done to balance them or diversfy their moves. For instance Iceman still only had one hyper and they didn't even bother fixing that no chip damage thing he had. All the MVC3 characters are built from scratch. That's more work than just copying/pasting characters.
And just because MVC2 had a bigger roster doesn't automatically make it the better game. By that logic that makes Mortal Kombat Armageddon the best one.

To be honest I made this post before I played the game. I got it and saw that there were far less characters and it annoyed me. But then I played it and now I love it. The controls are so much better and its a lot more fun to play. Its not my favorite fighting game.

You ever tried Marvel Nemesis ? A terrible game in terms of design although the characters were well designed, everything else was pretty bad, and so were the graphics and all, the backgrounds looked cardboard.
But the point is, I miss that game, I decided to buy it on Xbox but it won't play on mine :( so dissapointed. So I bought this "play 40+ Xbox games on you 360" for next to nothing on ebay. It still doesn't work because I'm in the UK.
Anyway, what did you think of Marvel Nemesis ?
