This is why I hate comic book continuities. I grew up with Eddie Brock from TAS. Not Mac Gargan of Flash Thompson. I'd even settle for Carnage in this game...oh wait he would end up being the Gwen Stacy bastardized version.

Really the different costumes could help everyone out. Come on a certain version? I think not. They saved him knowing people will buy him.
shareFlash Thompson becomes Venom ?! Whoah, I didn't know that. Talk about awkward, he bullied Peter Parker, and recently the Symbiote was removed from Gargan, but since when did it climb onto Flash? BTW, are him and Blackcat still hangin ?
shareFlash has become Venom in the "brand new day" continuity.
As yet, there hasn't been an origin type tale of how it came to be but the "new" venom series currently running, he's being run as a govt agent to do black ops type stuff. They at least think that they've worked out a way to keep the symbiote under control.

Anyway, I was going to say I actually read the comic a week ago, they have taken the symbiote of Gargan and kept it in storage, then recently it was put on Flash Gordon, who is now a parapalegic (wonder how that happened ?) and something something and then he says at the end he was always "more of a spiderman sort of guy" as opposed to somehting else, can't quite remember. And the scientists are like "Exactly ! That's why you were chosen."
So is he in this game ?

Not sure if you didn't know what I meant...the "brand new day" continuity is a retcon of the entire Spider-Man universe.
There was a storyline prior in which MJ "made a deal" with one of the more occult powerful villains, in order to save someone...though their end of the deal was to make some changes.
What we got was a bunch of new spider-man storylines, old characters back to life, current characters down different paths etc.
They haven't taken it all back yet, so I'm not sure if at this point they intend to.
Yeah in this BND continuity Flash went overseas as part of the military and well, his lets got blown off.
