Totally forgettable

The movie broke no new ground. The characters were cardboard versions of common tropes we have all seen before (only better). The greedy wall street type, the aging wife who drinks and suffers in silence, the young mistress who is killed, the innocent daughter, the crooked cops, the crooked lawyers, pretty much everybody is scum in this movie in fact. There isn't much character development and it ends with a thud. A more honest rating would be maybe a 5.

I thought this would be like a Sydney Pollack movie. It wasn't. It was pretty slow.
