Sweets

The segment "Sweets" certainly was my favorite of all the segments. There was something about it that was so deeply distrubing and found its way inside of me that I can't seem to shake. It's kind of like that feeling when you first see Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory as a kid. There's some weird psychological terror going on that is deeper than what the eyes see.

Anyone get that same weird feeling, or am I just a nutball?

You are not alone...something about the extreme sense of terror that Greg must have felt was unnerving. I loved it and was disgusted by it at the same time!

It was actually delightful. I haven't felt anything from a horror movie in quite a while.

Sometimes I feel like being a horror fan is like being a junkie. You spend your entire life trying to relive that first "high."

Exactly... I really liked the feeling I got from all the segments. Junkie is a good analogy!

Youre not alone. I was compelled to find a post solely about how tremendously awesome that segment was. I loved it.

The final scene was like the last supper, eat my body, drink my blood ...etc

I thought Sweets was a ton of fun but also rather disgusting and icky. I think the two main actors were terrific though (especially the girl) and that really worked for the story.

I also thought that it was more "Theater Bizarre" than the other segments, some of which were too dumb or too serious.
