What WWE wrestler you think will star in this?

Well, it's from WWE studios after all! My guess is The Undertaker. He fit the horror theme nicely.

I'm a fan of Brodus Clay who was on Nxt Season...5? and I went on his wikipedia page cuz I haven't seen him in awhile and it said he's taking time off to film this. I don't see his name anywhere though.

It is him, he's George Murdoch.

Just saw this tonight at TIFF, and as someone else already mentioned, a wrestler named Brodus Clay is in it. I'm not a wrestling fan so I know nothing about him, but his casting (and his size) were clearly calculated for the film's signature scene, one that I think may be talked about more in the long run than the film itself, which is pretty good but no classic. I'm in the process of uploading the TIFF Q&A for the film right now, and will post links when it's done, but be warned it contains MAJOR spoilers about the scene.

I would love to know how the film did at TIFF...I am so excited to see this movie myself.

Response seemed positive from my vantage point, but then that's always subjective with people at TIFF, especially Midnight Madness shows. My guess is it will go to DVD and on-demand/streaming with only genre festival play in North America; not sure about other countries. Nonetheless, it seemed like most people jumped, laughed or let out those uneasy "I know what's gonna happen next" winces at all the right times, with the biggest surprise, as mentioned, involving this Brodus Clay character. The concept of the movie is pretty clever, although once you know what the "hero" is capable of within the first half hour, the rest becomes fairly predictable, especially with that title, so it's a good thing they had a stylish director on board to keep things interesting and the gore levels reasonably high.

Never discount fans and word of mouth, which tends to go a long way. The Twitter responses are off the charts with good remarks. There are a few with less favorable remarks that are tempered with the fact that they still enjoyed the film.

It has a scheduled North America release date of Jan. 2013.
