this is so offensive

don't these filmmakers know that they should show Adam and Eve walking among these dinosaurs, that'd be the movie I'd like to see!

LOL! I must say that I am actually quite surprised that there isn't a big outcry (on this forum at least) about this film not being accurate from a biblical perspective.

reply

How is it inaccurate? The bible never mentions man walking with dinosaurs.

reply

Since we can't go back in time how can we know what is accurate ?

reply

Through observation and experimentation we can come to a reasonable conclusion about things without needing to go back in time. For example, mankind hasn't seen the planet (er...celestial body?) Pluto complete an orbit around the sun since its discovery. But we don't need to go back in time in order to be pretty certain that it has made complete orbits around the sun and will complete its first orbit since its discovery around the year 2178.

reply

I don't think it's inaccurate. But oftentimes creationists argue that man and dinosaurs walked the Earth together because a) they believe the Earth is only 6k years old and b) the bible mentions dragons which they say would be what we refer to as dinosaurs.

reply

A little problem with b is that with the possible exception of revelations all the bible references to dragons actually meant snakes, that's what the greek word dracon means, the translators were just a bunch of dumbasses, though you have Christians that believe that the King James translation of the bible was divinely inspired and God guided the process (lol).

reply

I did not know that. Good to know thanks. And yes, most of them do believe that the King James translation is the inerrant word of god. Translation? What's that? They know so little about their own holy book it's not even funny.

reply

Your right.

Atheist NEVER whine whenever a film contradicts their beliefs, only slimebag hateful Christians do.

Damn those Christians, and the religious controversy that atheist always bring up but that their STILL responsible for!! >:(

reply

Settle down. The only one talking about 'slimebag hateful Christians' is you. My pointing out that it's surprising this forum isn't bombarded with creationist claims of controversy is in no way an insinuation that Christians are slimebags or hateful (although there may very well be some out there).

And so you know (because this is apparently not obvious to you for some reason), not all creationists are Christians and not all Christians are creationists.

reply

Most republicans seem hateful racist and homophobic yet liberals can also be this way but less so, Being open minded and kind is the only way to be !

reply

Yes, those darned atheists and that ridiculous 'War of Christmas' that they have to bring up every year. And how they always burn down their own billboards to start controversy. And how they make organizations refuse donations from them to start controversy. And how they build museums to advertise mythology as fact to unsuspecting victims to start controversy. And how they refuse to let themselves work at soup kitchens to start controversy.

Oh, wait...

reply

I'm all for a movie showing a naked woman in 3D.

Now, about the guy with his dong loose part...

Adam and eve are the least of it's problems.

reply

I don't know about Adam and Eve, as I don't buy into any of that religious stuff. However Adam and Eve would have made more sense instead of a bird that sounds like a stereotypical Mexican. What the hell was that all about? LOL
