Why cancellations are meaningless:

Case in point:
Cagney & Lacey, cancelled and brought back via popular demand
Mary Tyler Moore Show: not a hit at first and almost cancelled.

Even I Love Lucy didn't find it's niche(though a hit)until the actors found their acting groove

'Are you seriously comparing this piece of sh_t to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"? '
-------------
Why are you assuming I am comparing the quality? That is not the point. I could had used Fantasy island as an example instead. Regardless of the quality of any of these shows, the point is that all types of shows--good quality or not--are cancelled, and any of them could be revived due to popular demand.

The other thing I mentioned is that shows were given a chance to find an audience back then, but now are immediately yanked off the air if the show does not get high ratings within a few weeks.

And the point regarding Cagney and Lacey: How many 100s of cancelled shows have NOT been brought back via popular demand since then? It's obviously the very rare exception and not the rule.

'You are delusional if you think this embarrassment of a show is in the same league as Cagney & Lacey, Mary Tyler Moore or I Love Lucy. The network learned it's lesson so why don't you do the same and let it go.'

Is that what I said? You missed the point. I wasn't comparing the quality of these shows, but ratings.

Look at the knee-jerk hostility you have, when you misunderstood my OT ,then tell me about learning my lesson. If you look at my other post, I already made a topic about the business and the remake-trend ending.
