No, it’s called capitalism.

What these managers do is not capitalism. They are just a bunch of rich thieves.
They don't apply any of the basic rules of capitalism, first of which is the absolute respect for customers which in this case are both actual and potential viewers.

If a product does not make money you don't keep producing it!
Capitalism has nothing to do with a low rated series.
If people were interested or watching they would not be cancelling the series!

The series viewership tanking by alot from each episode on. The 18-49 demo was horrendous. Critical reception for the series was very negative. The head of ABC programming is also a take no-$hit ratings programming head. He didn't like what he saw in the ratings and canceled it, but it still would've been canceled by season's end so there would be no season 2 anyway. The head of programming is also the same person who axed V last season right when season 2 ended on a cliffhanger.

You can't blame ABC for the cancelation or any other show's cancelation because they have ratings expectations like their network counterparts and if a TV series doesn't meet or beat those expectations, they cancel the show.

You're clearly an idiot, don't get mad because I tell you the truth.

I agree, 4 episodes is just too soon to cancel any show IMO. They should at least let a show go to mid season before making a final decision. It's not like they have a bench of blockbusters waiting to take it's place.

The show was very marketable! People didn't have to just watch it at 8:00pm on Thursday nights! Millions of people view it online or on demand.

Marketability wasn't the show's problem; no one giving a $hit about it was the problem. People seem to always forget that when it comes to TV, it's all about what the network executive EXPECTATIONS and if a show doesn't meet HIS EXPECTATIONS, its canceled. If you looked at each aired episode's ratings it was declining week after week and this is the only thing that matter to the Executives. If you call ABC stupid for this cancelation, you should also call them stupid for canceling any show from last season.

Fans of the V remake on ABC were pissed when ABC canceled that show after that season 2 finale ended on a cliffhanger because of low ratings, which was due to ABC stuffing that show into a four month hibernation with no marketing.

I'm just saying if ABC screws a show, they won't apologize for it as long as any show they screw over doesn't show improvement. Charlie's Angels was in a similar boot without being screwed over like V was. The difference was Vs critical reception wasn't as bad as this.

You can always boycott watching anything on ABC from now on, but we know that no one will actually boycott watching a network for real.

The show wasn't bringing any money to the plate at the ABC studios because of sagging ratings and that is why they canned it! lol.

Wrong! It's about dirty business.
These managers should go to jail just like bankers. They are thieves the same way.
These managers greenlight good shows like Charlie's Angels, V, Invasion with the plan of stealing money from investors. They then use bribes to get fake negative Nielsen ratings so that they can tell that no one is watching and so there are no customers for the product. Which is not true and just a pathetic lame lie,indeed.
Nielsen ratings are just plain wrong, the Nielsen family sample is so tiny that its statistics could never ever show anything even remotely resembling the truth in the US alone.
But then it even doesn't show how many people worldwide actually enjoy the show. Anyone just looking at torrent sites would be able to see how many keep downloading each episode, the same with other sharing services, being them illegal doesn't matter much on this point, it surely shows how bad these managers are that can't even organize their networks to ensure that shows could get aired in major countries worldwide with just a few days delay, dubbed or subbed in different languages. It's something multinational groups could so easily do actually. But they don't want to because they can steal more money the current way and they can cancel shows to do their own dirty business and keep getting their own dirty money.

No.

What killed "V" was a combination of unlikable charcters, bad storilines and a clear agenda from the writing staff.

Cryler was not a good idea and I hope they stuff that stock character ("Moody teenager who alternatingly loves and hates his parents and ends up working for the big bad in a key role") in a deep hole somewhere and never let him out again. And it might also have been a bad idea to cast the one character in "lost" who really nobody liked as lead.

"Soul extraction machine"...enough said. Oh, wait, let me add "Woman who spend 30 years in a slimy cocoon and comes out immaculate and clean".

And finally, some people might believe that it was an accident that the thing the bad aliens used to harm all those good people right as the debate about the healthcare reform was running rampart was...free healthcare. But combine it with the overall anti-science tone of the show and the high focus on religion as the positive quality of mankind ("soul extraction machine"...enough said) and you might just as well have this produced by Leni Riefenstahl.

I think humanity should be wiped out and then we can give evolution a second chance.

Abc is stupid for cancelling this and many other shows without given them a chance like ugly Betty, Eastwick. Ect.

But I am not going stop watching abc all that's left that I like on there is Private Practice,and Castle Revenge and Rookie Blue during the summer.

. I'm tired of Greys anatomy but that Started last season with that show before CA began airing and I don't watch anything else on abc none of the sitcoms or reality shows.

The reality is everyone knows that ABC is not the network that lets shows build up. If the response isn't well received by viewers to a certain program they will cancel it before the coffee goes cold. Charlie's Angels just happened to be one of those programs unfortunately and the reason why Revenge out of the new shows this season got picked up for a full season is because it is well received a lot more than Charlie's Angels.

Exactly MaNu! Like there is a big conspiracy to kill this show. Network TV is a business. If shows do well they generate revenue via ads...if nobody watches them - and CA was getting ratings in the low 2's which is nobody watching...they get cancelled. It is very simple.
