I was really looking forward to this Charlie's Angels reboot. I loved Rachael Taylor and thought this would be great...however. Minka is just really bad. She whispers everything, and its just nauseating watching her. Like in scenes when she rescues all the children, and telling them the ambulance is coming to treat them, she sounds like she's whispering sweet nothings...after she just got attacked hardcore. I just cant.
shareYou should see her in (500) Days Of Summer. It's a small part, but she's great. I've seen some of Charlie's Angels and I think there's two problems: She was miscast and the writing is not all that good.
shareI agree. She is a bad actress. I think most of it is because she can speak well. She needs to learn how to project and enunciate.
shareFor full disclosure, I'm an FNL freak and I really liked Minka on that show (even though I hated her at first). I do agree that she should articulate more and her voice can sometimes be annoying. I don't think she is the world's greatest actress by any means, but the writing on this show is SOOOOO bad I really don't know who could make these lines sound good.
That being said, I find Rachael Taylor's voice to be WAY more annoying. It's so grating and nasaly?, I don't quite know if that's it but it's something extremely irriating. Not to mention she's the one given the MOST horrible lines, her comic relief in the more tense moments is so off, tonally. This show still doesn't know if it wants to be a drama or more campy and it shows.

shareIn defense of Minka, growing up in East L.A. (me not Minka) I thought she sounded very Latina. And in the pilot episode, to learn that she was raised in a central american country orphanage, it made so much sense! I know many latinas who sound like that and i was beginning to think she was latina. And if not, kudos to her.

Yeah, I already liked Rachel Taylor. Minka was awesome in The Roommate, but she really sucks on this show, very iritating the way she acts and talks. I don't understand why her character is like that. Annie is okay too. But this show is not the worst show that I have ever seen. I thought it would last a lot longer. It seems new show don't last that long.
