All they had to do was let you the audience see her talking to them and show them hearing a guy talk on the other line. She could have been the original charlie townsend's daughter. Just a thought.

The show still would have failed. I wanted to love this show and gave it a chance. In my opinion, the writing, acting and execution of the show just didn't hold my interest.

No, no! Better than being the original Charlie's daughter...HER name would have been Charlie! (As in short for Charlene).
Who WAS the voice? I don't recognize.
As for tlm's comment...to be a voice, one doesn't have to be beautiful, but she's gorgeous! She has made amazing strides considering her childhood and her parental background. Her entire family were drug addicts and alcoholics. It's in the blood, and she's done extremely well at overcoming that! She's also an amazingly great actress, and a really beautiful woman. And, to be the voice of Charlie, she has a great voice, too.
@ salmineo: I haven't watched that much, yet, but you're probably right. One great casting choice couldn't have overcome everything else that I've already read about the show.
