I'm on my third season of Veep (now that Amazon is channeling HBO) and what glues me to the show is the witty comedic dialog. But some of the references in the dialog are rather obscure!
Like in episode six I just heard Kent say "Can't you hear me singing in the wires". I have to wonder how many people get that reference?? I do. Bur I'm old. Did you get it?

Yes, I understand it; and, when I don’t, 10 seconds on iPhone resolves the issue. That’s what your video system’s Pause button is for.

shareThat's funny. I knew exactly what it was referring to when I read your post but I didn't get it in the show. Sometimes the dialog is so fast and furious you need captions or rewind. I'll have to go back to that episode and see where Kent says that.
