300 Mask

If I remember correctly, a lady wanted to sell a mask from the movie 300 and was offered $3200 cash for it she but opted to put it up for auction because she thought it would net her upwards of $7000+...didn't she have to split some of the money with the guy who initially offered cash? And when the auction was over, I think she only got $4000 but acted like she was ecstatic...she made a few hundred dollars more but she has the fee to pay the people at the auction or rather has to give them something for helping her so why is she making it seem like she made a tonne of profit?

She refused the $3200 so she doesn't need to pay him, except in as much as he is part of the auction company and they take their percentage. I don't know what their cut is but if it's less than 20% then she took home more than $3200 and the auctioneers got less than $800 (but with out the associated risk).
