Not bad, not good. Just meh.

Like most movies these days.

It should have been a lot better.

I thought so too. It had loads of potential to be great.

reply

Yeah, I was expecting it to be funny and it really wasn't. I do commend it for not holding back with the sexual stuff(the point of the movie, I guess), but it just wasn't funny.

reply

I was hoping for more. It had a lot of good comedic actors and the whole 90s backdrop had a lot of potential. There were a few funny moments (Hader mostly) and the soundtrack was good at least.

reply

It was better than I expected but I thought it really fell apart in the last 20 mins or so.

reply

I agree. I mean with the line up of some of my favourite comedic actors (Samberg, Hader and Plaza), I was thought it was going to be awesome. But instead, I didn't find myself laughing at all. All the jokes fell flat. So disappointing.

He's having a romantic dinner with a cheesecake!

reply

There were a lot of great setups that fell flat. In three words: A near miss.

reply

I'm glad a non-dramatic headline is getting replies...because that's the truth. I didn't have a bad time watching it, but it's no where near the top 200 best comedies of all time. I don't think it was clever.

Completely agree with you and the others in this thread. We laughed at a few parts, but wished it was funnier especially with Heder/Samburg in it. I started liking Aubrey Plaza after seeing "Safety Not Guaranteed" and then Parks & Rec, so I liked the movie cuz of her. Just wish it was funnier and had some nudity in it..

reply

Yes, completely right.
