Beaches

Anyone else think them singing was at the end was funny?

reply

I found that scene unrealistic. I remember 93, I didn't think teenage girls liked Beaches.. Thought they were more into Dirty Dancing.

Everybody has their own taste. Those girls seemed more on the nerdy side so it'd be very plausible for them to have archaic or odd taste. When I was 13 I refused to listen to any music that came out after 1979.

I'm a guy (and though you may not believe it: a heterosexual one), and I like Beaches. I liked it then (I was 16) and I like it now. Now, i'm a dude who liked it, so, if a teenage boy back then could like it then it's not difficult to believe a teenage girl or girls would especially since it's a chick flick.

I was in high school in 2005 and I had a friend who very much loved Beaches. I don't think it's unrealistic. It's probably just a movie they all saw together that was a bonding experience for them.

I was in high school in 93' and my friends and I would sing the hell out of that song for years! Dirty Dancing is a year older than Beaches I believe. My husband said the same thing..."Like girls just sing out loud together?" Why yes they do, all the time!!

No crap. Beaches was a dam 80's movie. Why are they talkin about it in a movie taking place in 93'?? Shouldn't there be more time period movies they're talkin about??
