When they suddenly showed him with Sam, it reminded me of Shrek when Princess Fiona turned into an ogre. Lawrence is very rough-looking compared to Felicity.

Personality wise, both of them have valuable qualities in a woman. Sam seems to be fun to be around with, and Anna seems like a deep person that inspires you to try to get to know her more and more. Unfortunately, we're dealing with three not so mature persons that might have issues in one way or another, so I don't believe that either of them would make a good wife (or husband), even though falling for them wouldn't be hard.
While I generally acknowledge what you're saying, I reckon kinda the opposite to be true in the end.
When I was younger, I felt exactly the way you described in the first half. Now having experienced both types several times, I found out that mostly the Sam type will get you eventually happy. I'll never forget and always cherish my memories of the spirited Annas, but I really miss the affectionate Sams. Especially the Sams who were like JLaw. Have a look at her face when she smiles at him saying "Hey :)", lying next to him after the sex scene in bed. How can this not tug at your heartstrings? 8)
