But how does he land Jennifer Lawrence?

I liked this movie for the most part, but it had some serious problems the main one being these two questions -

1) How does he even land Jennifer Lawrence?
shes way too hot for him.

2) Why does she even like him?
as far as I can tell he is usually just moping around about his british girl.

Had they given more consideration towards casting they would have put somebody in Lawrence's role that was just kind of bleh, average, like he got with her because she was around.

Also why was Samantha (Lawrence) given two lines of dialogue, give her her moment you know?

oh well, still not a bad film, thought it would be worse.

Both the "other" people (Sam, and Simon) were "better looking." Maybe it was done purposely to show looks can only go so far for these two.

I think a lot of attractive girls would go for his type. A lot of the time it's your style and demeanour that girls go for.

Also this was probably filmed in 2010 before Jennifer became such a huge deal. She mainly did indie films prior to xmen and the hunger games

You're acting like JL is a living goddess. Believe it or not some guys think she is, how did you describe it? Bleh, average. Don't get me wrong, she's a gorgeous woman but there are more.

I think you being a JL superfan is clouding your judgement. All the things you wanted her to do would, basically, have made her one of the main characters, which she wasn't. She played the other woman.

I know how to get lost in lust, not because you should but because you must.

I think Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress (although not deserving of an oscar), but I don't understand why so many guys find her so sexy. She's certainly good looking, but I don't find her nearly as attractive as most guys do. At least she's got some meat on her bones though unlike actresses like Anne Hathaway who I find very unattractive.

I don't think she's really good looking, nor do I appreciate the fat on her bones (the meat, I do!).
But hell, she is damn attractive at times. It's that "certain something" you can't really describe.

It's her charisma, a bit of her roles and her real personality, her adorable smile - when it's romantic.
She's that type which you don't adore immediately (as a grown-up) but that you eventually fall for 8)

He's very cute and smart and seems financially stable. He has that Yale or Harvard kid look to him, which is quite attractive.

I agree , he pretty ugly... but she isnt anything special.

she's abit overated lookswise. not saying she isnt good looking. just not anything special.

Yes Jennifer was too good for him and now that she's a super star we do look back and think she needed more lines but that goes for any A Lister.
