Why Naveen Andrews????
Why in every (British) movie any Asian character has to be played by Naveen Andrews??? it's ming boggling... Can't they find any other actor who ca play Asian character

What's that supposed to mean? He doesn't play an Indian in any of his roles, so why does it matter if he looks Indian? I think topic creator was trying to say that he shouldn't get cast for other ethnicity. Once is fine, twice is pushing it but all the time is ridiculous. share

Seriously? He's played Indian in 90% of his roles, and being on Indian ethnicity, why not?
Buddah of Suburbia, Bride and Prejudice, My Own Country, Kama Sutra, SVU, Drowning on dry land, Bombay Boys, Peacock Springs, Might Joe Young, English Patient, RollerBall, etc. All Indian Characters.
Plus, there aren't a lot of famous actors that look indian.

I dont get the OP beef, Naveen has been under the radar since Lost and not hogging all the roles of any ethnicity.
He's a great actor. He can mimic accents amazingly well, and he can play diverse roles. Plus, he's damn easy on the eyes! share
So, according to you if Al Pacino is a great actor, he should be playing all the roles of white guys or for that matter any great actor according to you.. What a stupid logic you have.
As some one point out above, I have no beef with him... But why he suppose to play every, (please read) EVERY (not any) Asian (means subcontinent).
It's my personal opinion I don't like him as an actor, according to you he is good actor it's your opinion I respect that. But even if he is the world's GREATEST actor "HE IS NOT SUPPOSE TO PLAY ALL/EVERY CHRACTER OF ASIAN/SUBCONTINENT ETHINICITY".

He's done 3 new projects in the past 5 years, 2 of which have not been released yet and one was purposely written for him... how in your twisted little mind is that hogging every role and character?
Compare his CV to most Bollywood actors that put out a buttload of movies yearly... they are all Indian actors, cast in Asian roles, working WAY more than Naveen. So what is your problem?
I didnt see Naveen in Pi or cast as Kahn, or in Slumdog or Beckham or any multiple role Kal Penn was cast in.
Is it Naveen's fault if he stands out more, be it talent, beauty or charisma?

And it would have been great if he had been cast as Khan! Jar-Jar Abrams destroyed the character when he cast a caucasian weakling in the role. share
I worked with him and he is not a good actor.A total pain in the ass.Barbra Hershey was even worse. It was hell working with these two. On top of which The director was terrible, allowing Hershey to take command and even let her re-write what was once a good script.
