*SPOILERS*

Ok, i just watched episode 4 where they killed off Gaia. My problem with this is, She was gorgeous and wasn't as crazy as Viva Bianca. When your writers have the ability of a 7 year old, the overused sex scenes become a part of the show. And i like to see naked women lol.

There is no other semi-sexy woman to even watch for anymore. I don't even plan on going back to Netflix to watch the other 4 episodes...its a rule sex sells, and Gaia was the only sexy woman on the show left (after Viva Bianca left)

Besides, from start to finish this was basically the first season all over again

You got Spartacus the one that can't win, until he has reason to.
You got the Gol Crixus the one that can't win, until he has reason to.

And then don't even get me started on Manu's terrible acting, his stupid face while he was still a slave made me think he was mildly retarded.

dumb american? OP's right. when you have a show that has very limited acting/dialogue/storyline and capitalizes on sex, violence and boobs, you can't just kill off your hottest character. show's not that great, producers should keep close everything marketable to preserve the little the show has to offer...

Ty Greendog, Ginnn must be some high class fool.

This show has officially failed, if the writing was something of a higher caliber then it wouldn't depend on violence and sexuality to make it interesting. Seriously, take the violence and sex out of this show, and i guarantee it wouldn't even survive a whole season.

I just finished watching the gods of the arena series. I loved it but was disappointed they killed Gaia too. She was fun and sexy and it's always sucky when a character like that isn't around anymore.

The guy who played Crixus WAS terrible in this, distracting every time he hit the scene. He's great looking though so meh. He doesn't need to be a great actor.

If you watch shows just because they have women in them that get naked, your opinion on what is good or bad to do on anything, much less a show, is irrelevant.

As if that's not enough, 14 year old virgins aren't really the people one would need to hear the opinions of in any subject whatsoever.

You truly are dense in not knowing this is the Prequel to the First Season. The second season arrives shortly with Andy Whitfield's Spartacus character being taken over by Liam McIntyre, now that Andy has passed on.

RIP Andy.

I liked season 1 better than the prequel, but they're still both way better than most anything else you get on regular television. That said, I do get the point from those who think the sex/violence is overdone. It's a bit much. I get that it's a show about gladiators and ancient Rome, but the adult material is gratuitous in this. Doesn't mean I don't like it, and I look past it to see the good acting and writing.

Season 2 hasn't aired yet. This was a prequel made because everybody wanted to watch John Hannah chew up some more scenery ;-) hehe
