I would like Mitt if he wasn't a bigot.

He's a bigot who is part of the one percent. All he cares about benefits his kind of people. He was also pretty much raised a racist. If he became president we would have gone downhill just as much as if Sarah Palin became vice president.

Comments like this one are why I'm staunchly anti-partisan. Partisanship turns you into a blind idiot,
Actually you have just proven why being staunchly anti-partisan CAN lead you to even more blind idiocy.

Here's the proof:

Theoretically, if you are party politically inclined, you might watch or read media aligned with your ideology. If you had, you would have noticed that both sides of the political divide have acknowledged that this particular statement "[Mitt's] father marched alongside Martin Luther King, Jr" is in fact FALSE...and this has been acknowldged as a falsehood, by both sides, since 2007.

My point? "Staunch" anti-partisanship where you stay in the woods and say "I don't beleive anything ANY media outlet reports to me" can be just as stupid, sometimes moreso, as patently believing along political lines. Although, it has been noted in research that people who watch Fox news are more prone to have believe incorrect facts than people who do not get their views from ANY news source.

A better course of action is to learn intellectual discretion. Have the guts and mental fortitude to look at the issues (news) and gain the ability to learn critical discernment.

Most people are moderate, and the nature of democratic governance means that nobody EVER gets the exact group of policies they like universally enacted.

Well...let us review:
1. You were wrong
2. You were wrong because you took some information, and either, didn't get the updated version, or you did very shallow research.
3. You are anti-partisanship.
4. Hence...one could draw the conclusion that anti-partisanship does not necessarily help your intelligence, or knowledge level.

That's all I was saying.

Now is partisanship necessarily bad or good? Of course not. Just like fire it can kill as easily as it can save. Partisanship is just like herd mentality. It could lead you off a cliff or it can keep you safe/r from predators. If you want to make the argument that ANYTHING in this world is all bad (or all good) then...I am not interested. It's a banal argument.

I myself am all for the elimination of the two-party system, campaign finance reform, the abolition of the electoral college, etc. But I can no more impugn the party system than I can nationalism. Party is just another way of saying group.

I was wrong how?
Whoa...slow down, cowboy. Gonna need to stop right there. Did you REALLY just ask that?

Did you REALLY just ignore the rest of what I said?
Yes. I stopped right at that sentence. Just as I have with this one.

If you can't even admit you were wrong...why continue?

I like how you refuse to refute anything he says. You just say something "clever" that has nothing to do with anything, then you flee the thread. You absolutely suck at arguing and your points are horrible. You say he's wrong, but won't say why? You tuck your small penis between your legs and you run.
