The Doctor's reactions! (or lack thereof)

I can live with the many flaws of this movie. That's a foreign scare-spree found-footage haunted-house thingy, so I knew what I was in for. Since the beginning the doctor stroke me as that typical kind of ghost movie character who refuses to acknowledge the supernatural phenomena around him and insists that there has to be a logical explanation for everything. I'm OK with that.

However, when these events aren't being so subtle anymore, it's expected that such skepticism would quickly fade away. But that's not the case with this wooden faced doctor. Hell, a guy is being thrown around and bashed into the ceiling and smashing furniture, by the action of an extremely violent and unseen force! And the doctor's face is like "oh, yeah, I totally understand and expected that, trust me, just go along with it and you'll be fine".

And yet, in the next scene, they are all gathered at the table, eating their meal as it was just another ghost-haunted day! I mean, the guy could have died and his house is thoroughly thrashed beyond repair! It doesn't matter if it was an unknown guest, the daughter's mental disease nor merely "a draft". How can they be still sitting there calmly having their meal after that? My guess is that the doctor told them to do so.

Not to mention near the ending, when the daughter is kind of being raped by a ghost. He's like "nah, relax and enjoy the view!". Moments later the girl is freaking levitating while the walls are crumbling and hard debris flying all over the place, but the doctor's only concern is catching all of that purely scientific evidence on camera!
