Something that really annoys me

Why the doctor kept rambling about his wrong stupid theory even after at nearly the beginning of the film,there is a picture of the daughter and they see a woman in the background. Um, they never even acknowledged that really. It's obvious what was really going on, so it didn't throw me off but it annoyed me that the filmmakers would have the audience just believe that a doctor would just ignore that? Rule it out as nothing? Really? That doctor annoyed me so much. The actor in general but his character was pretentious and arrogant, and just ignored everything going on around him and stuck to his retarded theory. I'm sorry but did this not annoy anyone else? They clearly see another figure behind the daughter, things are flying everywhere, the daughter is possessed. Oh nope, it's her psychic ability???? So effing stupid.
