I still say it was an odd choice; there are so many actresses who could have played that part. Seems like if Brad didn't like her, he has enough pull to tell the powers that be to find another actress.

I'd say they didn't know. They have kids but they really don't get along (he wrote a letter to be read at a screening of Willow where he made a lot of remarks about her). But its perfect casting in a way.

Willow was a long time ago though. Maybe they made up in between. I love the part in the movie where she's nagging him about the money and he comes back with: "People always ask how I know so much about witches. I tell them I married one!" And slams the laptop shut. Loved it!
