Uwe Boll is the greatest troll in the history of cinema

The joke is on you all who hate him

agreed. hate feeds this monster.

Well we all know his beginning movies were made to lose money on purpose, as they were tax schemes. The more they made, the more he personally actually lost (if I understand it correctly), so really you're both correct.

His newer movies have been kind of entertaining though. This less than postal, and much less than rampage, but still good enough to be on in the background to kill some time while you do something... 6/10

Thise movie idea isn't sounding too good. i really don't see how this could do well. It's thing's like these that really make me hope that the rumor i heard about that bloodraine 3 videogame for Ps3/360 is really going to happen. I didn't really care for that betrayal one.

He's not a troll, he's just a stupid idiot that legitimately thinks he makes great movies. When in reality he makes the horrid wastes of film that you see as an end result of his "writing" and "directing"

Actually, I think it's the best explanation I've seen yet for why he keeps getting funded for crappy movie after crappy movie.

If you watch his movies -- I mean ACTUALLY watch at least 30 minutes of them -- they're really not that bad. But, then things seem to go off kilter like he forced it or planned it that way.

Like he didn't know that actor would be THAT horribly bad or that special effects guy wouldn't make effects so ludicrous or maybe he missed being on the set for a bunch of scenes because he has some problem or something.

It's like any troll in any web site forums. The troll just says something so ridiculously ignorant or stupid he gets hundreds or thousands of flames for years.

It's a troll.

Uwe Boll seems to make movies that troll entire audiences and the entire industry itself.

How else do you explain that they keep giving him money for new projects when he loses tens of millions of dollars per picture???

I mean, it could be he's someone's personal tax shelter, but the idea he's a troll is a lot less boring...

reply

I think he gets money because there are people out there that watch these films regardless of imdb opinion. Uwe Boll has slowly grown on me over his past few films. I wouldn't call his films good by any sense of the word, but they're watchable.

Compared to someone like Uli Lommel, Uwe Boll is Scorcese. He's not nearly as bad as people like to try to make him out to be. There are FAR worse writers/directors out there.

@OP/Warhol Superstar: Obvious troll is obvious and obviously named "Warhol Superstar no 5".

The obvious joke is on the OP for being such an obvious troll. Try harder!
