Tony should've been (Gay)Alex . Yes, or no ?

The US version of Skins looks too much like Alex. Tony Stonem didn't smile as much, & speak with a high tone voice. Not the greatest casting choice . US's version of Tony was perfect for the UK's Alex character .

I think that he was fine as the "Tony" persona (smug, self-confident, enjoys pushing his friends to the limit), but they should have just made the American Tony gay if they wanted him playing the role.
