Aw. That's a shame. I don't get any satisfaction out of people's failures.

reply

I do get satisfaction from the failures of people who deserve it. This is made by Vince Offer who in 1999 made one of the most unfunny comedies ever filmed and even the Church Of Scientology cut all ties with him and you know that's bad when Scientology doesn't even want to be associated with you. After wasting my time and money then, this guy deserves to have his first movie in theaters to totally bomb hard. Hopefully he learns his lesson and goes back to stealing ideas from better infomercial pitchmen and punching hookers.

reply

Being rejected by the Church of Scientology almost sounds like an endorsement to me.

I agree that his first movie was shít, but I thought this sophomore effort actually had its moments. And even though it was inevitable that this movie would bomb, I still feel like there's worse movies being put out there that at least make their money back.

Oh well. It's no skin off my teeth. I just always feel bad for the little guy, competing out there in a big man's world.

Well, it was a limited release so is it really THAT bad?!

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

reply

Well, it debuted at 30th place on its first weekend, but it opened in 275 theaters which I think is higher than average for a limited release. It averaged $625 per theater for a total estimate of $172,000. Comparatively on that chart, an independent movie in 36th place (released by the Weinstein Company) called The Sapphires debuted in 4 theaters for an average of $10,225 per theater ($40,900 gross).

It's pretty bad.

Not surprised!!!

It actually did better than what I expected.

To put this in perspective of how bad the per screen average was, the movie "Wreck It Ralph", which is already on DVD and has been in theaters for 21 weeks, had a HIGHER per screen average this weekend than InAPPropriate Comedy.

reply

It comes out to an average of three people per showing per theater over the weekend.

XD, and you know Vince was probably banking on this movie to be his big break or something.

Back to selling more Sham Wows and Slap Chops (although I'd imagine he does pretty well with that).

And I'm not usually this cynical but c'mon. Underground Comedy Movie was horrible. And he recycled bits from that (Flirty Harry, at least I'm pretty sure that was in Underground Comedy Movie), and made the same mistakes of letting the skits drag on forever, not knowing when to let them end.

It's just ridiculous how dead set he seems to be on making a bad comedy movie (er remaking it in this case as he re-used skits). And just like Underground Comedy Movie, I guarantee there will be late night commercials for the uncut version of this movie.

It's not playing in my area, so I can't go to see it. I'll be buying a DVD of it when that becomes available.

reply

I thought it was the worst movie I've ever seen. I simply didn't laugh once.

"The Porno Review" was miserable to watch.

reply

Jesus Christ, that's too fücking much money.

Looks like InAPPropriate Comedy has been pulled from theatres after its horrid one week run. It ended up making $228,004 dollars.
